DIY Chalk Paint [Only TWO Ingredients]!

I have been wanting to make chalk paint for a while, and I just kept putting it off.  Now, I don't know why; it's so simple!

I gathered my TWO ingredients and made myself a chalk board.

10 Things to Keep You From Peeing on a Stick Too Soon...

eldies-domesticated-life.blogspot.com...when you're trying to conceive.  That title is a little confusing and weird.  Sorry for that, but it brought you here.  So, thanks for stopping by!

Most of my friends are either just-about-to-burst pregnant or are already parents.  There are unlimited pictures of beautiful pregnant tummies and infants dolled up for their monthly photos.  And, while I absolutely appreciate what I already have, I am ready to be one of those people.  I want to put my baby in cutesy little outfits and take 2,000 photos.
As I briefly mentioned here and here, Danny and I suffered a miscarriage in July, 2013.  It was devastating.  Since recovering from that, we've been eager to create life and add to our family.  We've even got the nursery almost complete!

Herb Garden and Flower Beds!

It's warming up!

That  means it's time to bring those potted plants back outside to soak up the sun.  It's also time to get some color in our flower bed!

St. Patty's Day Parade 2014

Each year in Jackson, the parade rolls through and the streets of downtown are flooded with people decked out in green wear: hats, shirts, face paint, wigs, socks.

It's a great time to celebrate spring and life coming back from winter's nasty grip.  It's also a great time to drink in the streets with minimal risk of detention from "public intoxication."

Here are a few photos from this year's celebration:

Hello from Eldie!

Welcome to my teensy space on the blog world.  I first began blogging on Wordpress, but wanted more creative control so I moved over here.  My memory relative to HTML and CSS coding is almost non-existent, so bear with me while I try to get this place lookin' good!

In the meantime, I will talk about my life with Danny and our pups, working on our 60 year old house, cooking delicious meals and trying to DIY everything we can in our home!

Do you have experience with coding?  What do you do in your spare time?  Let's get to know each other!

Thanks for stopping by!
