St. Patty's Day Parade 2014

Each year in Jackson, the parade rolls through and the streets of downtown are flooded with people decked out in green wear: hats, shirts, face paint, wigs, socks.

It's a great time to celebrate spring and life coming back from winter's nasty grip.  It's also a great time to drink in the streets with minimal risk of detention from "public intoxication."

Here are a few photos from this year's celebration:

This is Patricia, a 79-year-old sweet lady who took jello shots with us.

On a side note, Danny and I are celebrating our 10 year anniversary (we met March 18, 2004) this week. We've sure come a long way.

How did you celebrate St. Patty's Day this year?  Are you excited about spring?  How and when did you meet your significant other?

  2. How nice to read this today! Looks like you had a great time at the parade. We did, too, until my dog tried to attack a big green guy with a horn. Happy Anniversary to you and Danny! You guys look so happy together!

    1. Thanks, Tina!

We wanted to bring our dog, but we are going to let her walk on the leash a little longer before we take her out there.
