Hello there! I am Lauren, although I go by several nicknames: Ren, Rennie, Renjamin, Laurence and most recently, LD (my initials) hence the title of this blog.
I had a love-at-first-sight experience with my now husband, Danny, when I was 15 years old (2004). We didn't immediately get together. Like most youth, I ran wild, enjoying all that single life had to offer. Partying every weekend, clubbing, wearing matching clothes. Danny and I dated on and off for a few years, but I was too wild for him. I had to roam.
Then, in 2012, miraculous things happened. I bought a house. I landed a great job in my field. I got my shit together and figured out that, while I enjoyed single life, what Danny gave me was more fulfilling. So, I calmed down.

I enjoy tackling DIY projects, spray painting things, working in the garden and flower beds, finding the cheapest thriftiest ways to complete said DIY projects and I am getting pretty damn good at cooking food from scratch. I still have so much to learn. Follow along as I share my experience through life!
